Well I just got an email back from the Spanish Consulate in LA... it turns out that I won't need a residence visa to live in Spain after all!  Because Rebecca is a British citizen (and a U.S. citizen now, too), I can live in Spain under the EU rules.  Which means we still have to register (once in Spain) and get national ID numbers in order to get bank accounts and pay for utilities, etc.... But, I don't have to go through the paperwork drill of getting a residence visa before leaving the states.  Which is great!

So that's one less thing on my to-do list.

Spain, here we come!
